Cookies

My oldest got wrangled into making 6 dozen cookies for a bake sale, and guess who really gets to make the cookies? If you guessed me then you win the prize which at this point would be a dozen cookies of your choice of either chocolate chip or oatmeal raisin, since those are the two kinds I am making for the bake sale. As I am slaving away my daughter is on the phone and has not helped one bit. If I thought I could get by with it I would just go to the store and by the cookies and save myself a lot of work.

New floor

Last weekend we pulled up our old nasty carpet and put down a new wood floor. It was a huge job that took us the whole weekend to complete. I was very happy to have a lot of help the boys and one of their friends who is a carpet installer helped, I could not of done it without their help. The floor looks great and it is such a joy not to have that old ratty carpet on the floor. The dogs love it they go sliding when chasing the ball and I think they are having a blast on the new wood floors.

Early winter

Yesterday Phil the Groundhog saw his shadow and predicted six more weeks of winter and that makes me very angry. Who decides if Phil sees his shadow it is not Phil, he is a big rat and can make no decisions of his own. I think the man who decided owns a snow removal company and needed a few more weeks of work in his business, thats the only thing that makes sense to me. I am so ready for spring it makes me mad to think that we will have to deal with six more weeks of winter.
