We took our 5 year old grandson fishing this weekend and it was a mess, I guess we should of left Buster at home but he likes to go fishing too who would of know that as a dog it was also his job to get in the water and bark at every noise, kinda made it a short day when he busted his leash and escaped. OH WELL David got to catch a couple of small bass and he had fun, I enjoyed being outside on the grass with the family, so it was a good day.
The cost of everything has gone through the roof the last few months. The price of gasoline has risen to an unheard of level of $4.00 a gallon. Even the food we have to eat to live has went up 200% in some cases. Just to drive to work everyday costs me $35 round trip, and that is if I do nothing extra, like run a route or check on any part of my 2 districts. It cost me $102 to fill up my truck last week, I about had a heart attack and died right there when the pump rolled over $100. We really need some relief from the high prices that are destroying middle America.
Every spring I go through my house from top to bottom and throw out the old and bring in fresh new things. This year my focus will be getting new carpet in my living room and bed room. I will be looking for the best price and the best carpet when I start shopping for my new carpet. I have narrowed my choice of colors down to two shades of brown I need the brown due to my dogs and the amount of traffic these rooms have. As I get closer I will also look at the carpet outlets in near by Georgia to see if I can find a bargain.
Living in the city of Nashville, I do not have a large space for a garden but I still want to have some fresh vegetables available to me. I have planted a couple of tomato plants in pots and some pepper plants in a couple of planter boxes just to have some produce available to me. My tomato plants are blooming and are growing rapidly. Just being able to grow a little garden is a great way to spend some time in the yard that I would not get to do with out my little garden.
