I made some very good Banana bread muffins for supper last night and they were gone by morning, I love to bake and Banana bread is one of the best things that my family really likes a lot. Big guy like the blueberry muffins the best but for the rest of us Banana bread and muffins is the way to go, and by the way he eats his share of the Banana bread and muffins just like the rest of us. I guess I will have to make some blueberry muffins soon enough, got to keep everyone happy it’s the mom’s job you know.
My six year old grand son is taking swimming lessons at the YMCA this summer, it was distressing to me that at his age he had no clue how to even tread water. He is one week in to his lessons and is doing well. He is not afraid of the water and that helps him to be a good student for his swimming lessons, as soon as he learns to swim I plan to take him to the beach and let him see the ocean he loves the water and this will be a good trip for him this summer.
I am a very proud mom, my kids all got good grades this school year and we had no major issues at school. What an improvement over last year and I hope it keeps on this track then all three of them might get out of high school and get on with their lives in a timely manner. At times last year it looked like they all three might be living with me for the rest of their lives, this good year has put a bit more hope in my heart of ever having the house to myself. Let us hope that next year is a successful as this year was and my dreams will be one year closer to reality.
Today is the last full day of school for this school year. I do not know what I will do with 3 kids under foot for all summer. I think I need to find a good cam,p to send them to so I can get some rest too. At least I do not have to get up at 6am to get kids ready for school, maybe for a gift this summer I will get them an alarm clock and teach them to get themselves up and ready for school so I can get a bit of rest each school day.
I love my kids but they are a huge pain in the butt sometimes and I am tired of dealing with all of their issues, they need to grow up and start to solve their own problems. Well on second thought I am the Mom so I will keep on top of all the issues for a while longer.
My oldest got wrangled into making 6 dozen cookies for a bake sale, and guess who really gets to make the cookies? If you guessed me then you win the prize which at this point would be a dozen cookies of your choice of either chocolate chip or oatmeal raisin, since those are the two kinds I am making for the bake sale. As I am slaving away my daughter is on the phone and has not helped one bit. If I thought I could get by with it I would just go to the store and by the cookies and save myself a lot of work.
