With the rain that we have had all day it has made our plans to go and watch the fireworks downtown a no go, I am sure glad that we went to the lake and watched the fireworks at Nashville Shores last night. They are calling for severe storms tonight so I think we will just stay in where it is dry and watch the fireworks on TV, maybe next year we can make it downtown to see the show live and in person.
One of TV’s Charlies Angels has died and that makes me very sad for her family. Farrah Fawcett has passed away from a long bout with cancer and as a child I remember watcher on Charlies Angels even if she was only on the show for one year I loved her and thought it was a terrible mistake for her to leave the show, and it turned out she should of stayed, at least in my opinion and I am sure she thought that she did the right thing. Farrah will be very missed and I will pray for her.
Almost every house along our street has some damage from the wind and rain last night. It hit here about 5 pm and we did not get our power restored until about 9 last night. We have a couple of small limbs torn down but just a few houses down a whole tree came down barely missing the house. I am glad we did not have any drama like that and they are calling for more storms tonight, lets hope they are wrong. We have had a storm filled June and I for one will be very happy to get on into July and see if the weather will calm down a bit with summer getting here.
I made some very good Banana bread muffins for supper last night and they were gone by morning, I love to bake and Banana bread is one of the best things that my family really likes a lot. Big guy like the blueberry muffins the best but for the rest of us Banana bread and muffins is the way to go, and by the way he eats his share of the Banana bread and muffins just like the rest of us. I guess I will have to make some blueberry muffins soon enough, got to keep everyone happy it’s the mom’s job you know.
My six year old grand son is taking swimming lessons at the YMCA this summer, it was distressing to me that at his age he had no clue how to even tread water. He is one week in to his lessons and is doing well. He is not afraid of the water and that helps him to be a good student for his swimming lessons, as soon as he learns to swim I plan to take him to the beach and let him see the ocean he loves the water and this will be a good trip for him this summer.
